Melbourne Water's Glen Waverley gauge had 37mm in that last drop. Loads of moisture when you get under them

I'm at work in the city, but according to my weather station at home in Tarneit we got a decent drop. 16.5mm in the heavy cells that formed around Werribee and surrounds. Total for today 19.3mm and more on the way by the looks of it.

Looks like it's plummeting. Wouldn't be surprised if Tasmania walks away with big totals. That always seems to happen.

Scored about 19mm's with that heavy shower, several rumbles as well. 21mm's since 9am here now.
Looks like we could get some more later.

The lights flickered on and off at the aged care facility but stayed on. A distant rumble. Had 25 mm in the gauge from the storm when I got home.

HUge inflow from the east to west, drop in pressure causing very low level scud.

Decent anvil on incoming band out West. Some serious updrafts and fresh cumulus in the mix too.

Got hammered with rain on the way back from Arthur's Seat, down to 50 on Eastlink, heaps of rain around Wheelers Hill, traffic lights out, water flooding onto the road - the SE suburbs sure cops it in style!

Of course Weatherzone are having issues kicking out all the pro accounts, just as the weather gets interesting.

I know it's still very far out but i don't think it will be that bad when it comes through. I just don't like the steering on it. Probably 5 to 10mm in the CBD and Eastern suburba.
But the southwest are and will be doing the best.
I'm just happy that with all the heat this month we have escaped being the driest March on record.

Already is around Camberwell. Flooding of train line there at present.
Incidentally, some mad DP temps around the place. Viewbank with 24.3c has to take the cake.

Getting a big squall here now, by far the biggest of the lot so far, big gusts of wind too.

How's the rain Geoff? I see areas around Lilydale picked up close to 30mm locally from this cell.
