Collection of assorted places. Non Weather Images.

Post by tizza »

I think I might have posted some of these in another forum years ago. Most of them were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 3.2 MP lol. I need to buy a good camera. I just felt like sharing them with you guys.

Heyyyyyy Tizz! Just dropped in and had a look at your pics and didn't want to flick out again without saying "Thanks for posting!" :D

St Peters at Vatican is bloody amazing, it must have felt incredible standing and looking at that in the flesh! And Mt Yasur... what a landscape that is :o

Thanks Lily and Hamlan! Lily if I remember correctly the letters/writing around the top of that dome inside St Peter's is actually about 8-10 feet big! It was mind blowing, even though I was raised Catholic I'm not a religious person at all but it's definitely worth looking at the headquarters of the most profitable organisation on Earth. The volcanic plains of Mt. Yasur are like an alien landscape. They are so big you can see them clearly from google earth. Rivergirl has been there too, it's worth the trip, it's so close to us. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Wow, really, I wouldn't have picked that from the photo? Mind blowing indeed! :D When did you travel over there?

After reading yours and Robyn's chats about Yasur, it certainly does seem like a place to put high on the "to do" list. It looks absolutely amazing in the photos you guys have shown us.

I went to Europe in 2003, hence the 3.2MP camera, but it was the top of the line happy snaps back then which actually pumped out pretty decent pix back then.

No Lily, his mine. He gets an honourable mention for being our storm radar because he's still traumatised majorly from the 6th of March. When he slinks out of the room low to the ground, we know a nearby cell has gone lightning active, LOL!

Thanks Meso but I can't take the credit for it, only the composition.

It's hipstamatic, an iphone app, probably the most fun I've EVER had with a camera. I couldn't recommend it high enough if you have an iphone. It rocks, I haven't adjusted a single one of those photo's.

I was always told when I did media at high school and then a photography course, don't mess with your pics using fancy effects etc.... until you get the basics down. I think that's a VERY fair comment, but that was over 20 years ago so it's game on now.

Have you heard much about hipstamatic? It has heaps of old films and lenses that aren't available anymore and automatically converts them back to analogue prints on the spot. It's so much fun, I'm addicted!!!!

SUCCULENT HIPSTA PICKS

Well you can't deny that this warmer weather we've had over the last few years has drastically changed the plants people have opted to put in their gardens, especially around. It's succulent central.

Fabulous photos Tizza. Your travel ones are just amazing. I've been tripping around the last 2 months hence my lateness in posting :) I like that Hipstamatic. Should look at it for my iphone.

Hey guess what!! I'm going back to Tanna in May. I just loved the volcano so much I decided to go back. Will be staying there three nights again. We are also going to Pentecost to see the land diving this time as well and will also be on Efate firstly at Port Vila then Hideaway Island. Came back a few weeks ago from South American and Antarctica, awesome.
