Massive snow fall in driest place on earth

Post by daviescr »

Just came across this story of up to 80cm of snow falling in the Atacama desert region in Chile. Truly amazing when there are areas of this desert that may only see about 1mm of rain in a year!

Yes my collegue is from Chile and she has been showing me amazing pictures off and on for the past 6 weeks which show extensive snowfalls in the region which is apparently very unusual.
