N cell looks to be shaping towards the CBD from the backside.

Cell near Blackwood looking like a wild elephant literally on the radar lol.

Distant rumbles continue..just have to be patient.

Thunder getting louder, and getting darker to my NW at Doncaster - starting to rain, but not too much, really not looking forward to Peak Hour now. :(

They will struggle to reach the city/SE suburbs given the southerly has pushed through...storms are firing along the convergence line over N/E suburbs. Overlay the obs on the radar page - southerlies at Tulla and northerlies at Kilmore Gap, 14 knot NE at Coldstream.

Fairly poor shear though it appears...storms are fairly pulsey resulting in rain falling straight into the updraft and killing it.

Grabbed a couple of pics on my way home again of the Melb Airport cell, taken on phone again so not the best quality but you get the idea:

It's all to the east of me now and i took a few photos with my mobile so they'll be low quality. I'll upload them if they're good though. So much thunder.

New line has just developed just north of Gisbourne!!!!!!! Black core widespred - this rainfall intensity is almost matched with March 6 except without 10cm hail!!!! :D

EDIT: looks to be that the north cell is dropping (moving more south / growing to the south?) ? CANT WAIT!! :D :o ;) :)

Not sure if anyone from this side of town has posted, but all afternoon its been sunny, very humid and HOT I am sure its been 25-27 out this way!!!

But so far, apart from some amazing looking clouds to the north west, its been very quiet here

Any chance of storms developing in Geelong? Will be there tonight.
