Amazing result Macedonian, you'd be right up there - Mt William's on 30-odd mm last I checked.

9mm here, so not bad but not in your league :).

Squeezed out another mm and a bit overnight so just shy of 10mm. More than I expected which is always nice.

Great to see those falls around Macedon etc. gives the gardens and forests a drink and puts the fire season back a couple of more weeks :D

Big system brewing next week. Multi day storm outbreak with widespread moderate to heavy falls. Not sure about details, though, with models differing on timing by a day or two. It taps a good infeed of tropical moisture with upsliding north to northeast flow for multiple days.

Bit ironical :( but not really what the farmers want out west now as they look to bring in grain or cut failed crops for hay. Flip side is any rain is good for water supplies, pasture growth and slowing the fire season.

A bit of a strange system, but we got 12mm here, a good drink.
Swan hill up north had 14mm overnight, not enough to do any harm.
I will believe the next system after it has happened.

Just 4 mm here. Too much of a rain shadow.

Still no idea about next week.

I'm in Seymour working atm, gloom and no sun all day, with drizzle most of the day, totalling 4mm. Just 3mm at 'home' in Wangaratta.

Wow, the Macedon area did very well. Managed a couple more millimetres here last night to bring the event total to 20.6mm. It will at least put a pause on everything drying out for a little while, and fingers crossed for a big system next week.

From BoM_Vic twitter...

In 24 hours to 9am, the 46mm at Wycheproof was the highest 24hr total there since 22/12/2007 or in October total since 11th, 1948!

Must be pretty frustrating for farmers go a whole cropping season without a single proper wet day, and then see one happen now :(

Down here on the Gippy coast, the wind has gone s/w, so something epic could happen later this arvo....somewhere.
Lookng at the obs, I think its inflow.

We are 250mm for the year, a bit under half the average, pretty grimm.
