Cloud slowly clearing from the south. Just got back from down the road in Hastings where it is a crisp clear sky.

Looks like they've had some rain earlier too. Could get interesting inland from there if temp falls below zero.

The cloud has retreated to almost Cranbourne. Rest of Melbourne should follow soon.

Cloud affected us last night as well. The temperature dropped to 1.1c at 9pm, then as the cloud moved in, rose to 4c, then back down to 2.3c by the early morning. Still pretty cold though! It has jumped up to 7.8c now and sunny skies.

Superb day here, really nice to have a calm sunny day. Very cold though. There is still plenty of frost lingering in the sheltered parts of my garden. Some lawns are still white. -0.6C min to 5.1C max.
Hope tomorrow is frosty too.

Beaut day up here ranging from 4 to 8C. Tomorrow looks kinda similar. Bit more wind and cloud, but fairly mild for mid winter. Missed out on frosts with a bit of cloud and uppers which aren’t overly cold (being on a single hill we need everything to come together to deliver significant frosts here). Some cracking frosts inland, particularly in NSW and Qld whee the drought is really starting to bite :?

Changeable week coming up with a big long wave trough in the Indian Ocean throwing up a series of fronts. Not a lot of moisture ahead of them, but should be plenty of showers, particularly southwest, coasts and ranges. Temps look fairly unremarkable. Time for a new thread....
