About bloody time, and got everything done with minutes to spare before she came down.
Grass cut (probably annoyed a few neighbours at 9.30am but who cares) - checked
Cleaned out gutters - checked
Cleaned out gauge - checked
The sound of water going into the tank - CHECKED!
Caroline Springs, Melbourne's meteorological boredom zone.
Nice entree
Hopefully main course this arvo
The burea forecast looks at odds with MetEye
The burea say most likely during the afternoon but MetEye has the majority of rain now
Hmm
Hopefully we get some clearance for the storms developing later
21.7mm so far. Just went outside to check the tanks. Interesting that the ground isn't at all slushy. It would typically be muddy after this amount of rain, but it goes to show how much it is soaking straight down into what has been very dry soil over the past few weeks.

Going by the radar, looks to be a nice and calm afternoon. I mean that literally. Rain looks to clear shortly.
I bet no one expected that.
Yeah the wind is going to go calm, then back around to North soon
And then pickup due to the approaching complex of fronts etc
Ive had thunder, lightning and about 20mm at Mt Macedon. 10mm in 30mins when it started. A bit of a deluge but fabulous to see.
This is the first rain of any note since the 30th of January.
Still raining very satisfactorily now.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
13.2mm's this morning well over twice what we had in the preceeding 54 days.
Pity the main rainband cleared so quickly but we will get some showers over the next couple of
days. BTW whens that Wimmera radar due to come online.
The last news I saw was back in August last year when they said that the BOM had narrowed it
down to two sites - Donald and Edenhope and that it was still on track to open mid 2018.
You would think they would have made their decision by now and would have started work on
that site if they are still on track with that timeline.
