A stunning total of 0.3mm here according to the AWS. Might have to relocate the spider.

28mm so far, lovely drop indeed. Plenty of sparks and rumbles this morning. Next trough is still way out west and creeping in but its weakening with that strong front behind it. There is decent temp differences between 850 and 500 hPa and good dew points at 850 hPa, so you never know tonight. A little cell now sparking around the bottom of the Mallee

Currently back up to 20c and a 17 Dew point here.

Never that but a dose of patience is just required looking at tomorrow's forecast. Be nice if we managed a repeat of the totals of today.

7 mm here in Cobram. Was hoping for more, but a good drop for the garden. Just had a little storm push through with a few rumbles.

700 hPa now pushing 50 to 55 knots from the Mallee. Any multicell clusters that develop are going to launch from the NW in a SE direction at a fair speed :)

Wimmera cell is getting angry heading towards Maryborough. These uppers are quite unstable :)

Fantastic start to the event here with nearly 22mm. Steady moderate to heavy rain. Quite a few rumbles, but all hidden in the murk of a low cloud deck. For a while the cloud base was near 150m so humidity comfortably sat on 100% here at 560m :D

Incoming ATM with a rumble just a couple of minutes ago, and a few brief heavy showers. Still need 50mm to our March average so happy to have a lot lot more ;)

Next 24 hours are messy. We've got three troughs coming through, one this evening, another early arvo tomorrow and another later tomorrow. They don't have a lot of moisture with them, so some showers and storms, but not extensive like the first band. Expecting the next decent burst of activity late tomorrow here. The uppers are unstable with plenty of shear so some of the cells could get nasty :?

So far has been shared around pretty well. The NW, northcentral and South Gippsland have missed out somewhat, but they should fill in a bit the next two days. The coastal strip in particular looks like having a wild and wet start to Monday.

Just had the loudest crack of thunder I've ever heard! Sounded like a bomb going off. :sccary: :sccary:
Dogs freaking out, even my kelpie who is usually never bothered by thunder.

Checked the radar, red cell directly overhead.

These winds in the uppers are allowing the cells to maintain more strength now. Small black core in these wild cells from Maryborough now. The BoM must be on smoko....no STW yet ;)

23mm here so far; great but one of lowest falls locally with a few 30-31mm falls on 5-10km away.

I love it when the models underestimate - about time!

Great light show, with some good booms, moved quickly. I think it's going to get over the range into Melbourne's NE burbs

I hope so. Can't be bothered chasing it when I'm tired and have a headache.

Nice light show from that black core over Lilydale. Is just north of us, medium rain and steady thunder for a while now.
