Yes, plenty of appliances turning out to that fire in Blue Wren Rise / Ballarto Rd in the Pines Reserve and now another in Cranbourne South.

Edit: Cranbourne South was a False Alarm.

Can seen the Carrum fire from here. Smoke leaning sideways so going along at a fair rate.

Winds getting gusty here now. Nasty weather. Not the worst I’ve seen, but bad enough to keep you on edge.

Cold change on the surf coast now. Hoping to see it through Airies Inlet soon.

That fire down towards Carrum looks problematic. Lots of houses and rural properties to its south

Cold change is now just south of Airlie Inlet. Sea breeze on the bay at Frankston. Cool winds can’t come soon enough

Looking at basics on Google maps...

That fire will turn towards Cranbourne West on the wind change. Surely it can't get here due to natural breaks such as farmland and a major highway, but am expecting a lot of smoke if the good guys at the CFA can't get it under control.

They may just have it under control. Saw one of the water bombing choppers fly away from it.

Wind change just hit Airlie Inlet. Puts it about 125km out from Melbourne and about 50km from the head of the bay.

The Carrum fire has died down on radar so hopefully they are getting on top of it. Some nasty gusts on the change as expected with with 72km/hr at Mt Gellibrand.

Change racing up the Bay now. Reckon it’s going to hit with a bang around bayside areas

Wind change though, temp off 10°C and still going. Max of 42.4°C, max wind gust of 47km/h @ 5:50PM.

Anyone else feeling a sharp uptick in humidity with the change? Or is it just me?

Wind change just came through at home. Not particularly windy.

Edit: picking up now to about 30-35km/h on the PWS.

Change hit here just before 6pm - pleasantly surprised as there can often be a frustrating lag for us being 100km inland. Dropped from 37C to 27C in minutes; now just a steady decline.
