Just setting this up to separate from the earlier topic. It's a very quick system that should drop some nice falls. The southwest has seen some good totals so far so that's good for those who missed out on the previous big system. A few storms likely to pop up through central and eastern parts this afternoon and evening ahead of the front too.

Cracker of a storm out here. Huge rumbles which are shaking the whole house. Now heavy rain and small hail. Nice surprise - wasn't really that hopeful for a storm here (thinking more likely out west). Nearly 3mm so far.
Coming up to 10mm here so doing well. Had a couple of thunder rolls earlier but only spots of rain to go with them, solid rain now.
Looking forward to getting a new weather station soon as I had to take the brolly and dash to the Nylex before it was too dark to read. Somehow I think the humidity read-out has also packed up on it as it has varied berween 1% and 99% today.
Double figures here too, path started to go under water out the back. Looks like the west really copped it, 18.6mm at Tullamarine Airport & 27.6mm at Essendon!

22mm and climbing. Starting to get heavy again. Real surprise this one. Was thinking maybe 20-30mm total, mostly in showers post the front but we will get past that form the thundery rainband. Never expected burbs like Essendon to get an inch or more
Thick fog here now and feeling chillier with the southerly.
Gonna be some minor flooding soon if this keeps up for much longer.

Few spots southwest of here approaching 40mm. Just passed 25mm here. Mtd is now over 200mm, so our wettest month since November 2011.
When I read your post I checked Melbourne Water Rowville site, 43.4mm so waded out to recheck the Nylex, 33mm, I am about 2kms away so totals are varying considerably over a short distance.
