Its moving from the East and all too far North for me. Looks like another bust here.
Bucketing down in the City though.

TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for HEAVY RAINFALL and LARGE HAILSTONES
For people in Northern Country and parts of Central, Mallee, North Central and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.

Issued at 3:36 pm Saturday, 18 November 2017.
Weather Situation:
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Kerang, Bendigo, Echuca, Shepparton, Melbourne and Frankston.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks.
* Be alert that in areas recently affected by fires, heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads.
* Stay indoors if possible.
* Avoid using the phone during the storm.
* If you are outside, avoid sheltering under trees
* Listen to the radio for storm updates
* Switch off your computer and electrical appliances

The next warning is due to be issued by 6:40 pm.
If severe thunderstorms develop in the Melbourne Area, a more detailed Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued to people in this area.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 217. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

Absolutely teeming down here in the north east. Haven't seen anything quite like it for some time. Keeps developing too. This is a BIG arvo for Melbourne

Complete and utter whiteout here. Heaviest rain I have seen for a long time. Gunshot thunder. And it is slow moving and backbuilding. There is going to be a lot of flooding damage around town tonight.

Saw all the action on the radar while I was in Melton. :o

Just arrived back in Burnside Heights to rolling thunder in the distance. Touch & go if we receive anything here. Have a pretty spectacular of view of the action currently occuring out east.

Spectacular view from the south here. Will post photo soon.

Constant lightning and distant thunder. (Side question, does being on a hill enable you to hear thunder further?)

Very annoyed no action here, although a distant storm is just as good sometimes for photos.

30 mm in about 15 minutes insane!

Rain has eased off for now here in Ivanhoe. Sitting on 36 mm. Not ruling out more to come. Neighbours are up on their roofs clearing miscellaneous items from their gutters (bit late for that I reckon!). Also a sign of heavy rain: two huntsmans found in the house.

That cell out near Lismore/Cressy looked to be an intense hail core. Would love to see a picture of that one.
