Nothing can convince me otherwise. Just look at the radar!!!!
I don't believe in bad luck. Low level snow is just harder and harder to get when everything is getting warmer. Yep, it can happen but you need more and more extreme weather set-ups.

Up to a mm now in FC. Temperature is just below 5C. Would like to see it drop another degree or two. Feeling moderately optimistic we will wake up to white in the morning.

Snow was hammering down here when i arrived home about an hour ago. No settling but it was really coming down.

I agree with you HB, its just too warm these days for anything even remotely regular in regard to non-alpine snow.

There have been some good falls in the NSW central tablelands today but they have elevation on their side up there. Places like Yetholme and Edith are around 1200m asl.

Another disappointing result.

Showers on and off, but only amounting to a mm or two.

I too agree that luck is playing little part in the patterns in recent years. When temperatures were only just cold enough for occasional snow in the hills around Melbourne, it doesn't take a lot of general warming to be out of range for snowfalls.

42mm for the thread so far. A bit of sleet earlier but now the temp is down to 4c, with some moisture heading in. With the sun down and grass temps near zero, should be some white areas around the Macedon Ranges tomorrow morning :)

4C ATM with rain. Was sleet and graupel earlier in a heavier shower which dipped the temperature to 3.5C. Think we are a good shower or two away from snow. Upper are just about cold enough for it.

EC meteogram has snow here for tomorrow morning with a cm or two. Let's hope it's right :D

Btw some amazing photos in the alps. 50cm or thereabouts in two days at Hotham.

3c with very light drizzle, 400m may have the slightest of chances with snow as the night rolls on. :o

Hillbilly I would think it would be snowing up in your place by now though. It would be great if skiiable covering of snow happened somewhere within walking distance though, then I could ski around One Tree Hill! :O I only have downhill skis though haha, would need a massive freezing cold pool of air with a great amount of moderate to heavy precipitation to get a skiiable cover around in the Dandys tho haha. I think we would be lucky to get any snow at all though from past experiences living here.

Heavy wet sleet here but no snow. 2mm in that shower, really hammering down. Doubled my daily total :o

Temps stubbornly sitting between 3 and 4C.

Well, i was half expecting to get some decent hail showers, but i was moreso expecting for it to screw us over (again) and become fine but cold.

That's exactly what's happened. Currently 3.5 degrees here and very clear.

No snow on the nearby mountains again. Here's hoping something changes the next 6 hours or else it's anothrr fail in my books. Getting a bit over it to be honest. No proper summer, no proper winter.

Going into a Western Port Bay stream here. Just got a heavy snow shower. Dropped temperature from 3 to 2C. More showers to come, maybe.

Nothing settled yet.

Flurries at 527m ASL Kyneton. By the looks of the radar, snow showers currently across a good parts of Macedon Ranges. Should be settling above 700m I would think.

Wet flurries in Ferny Creek again. Temperature is 2.1C. Next shower inbound. A heavy shower would give us settling now... if only :?:

Thinking the very top of Mount Dandenong which is about 70m above us must be getting dry snow, but not a lot of precip.
