5C here with 20mm since last weekend. 5.5mm overnight. Hoping for some white stuff here - haven't seen it for a few years here (used to be a regular thing every winter). Will be on the lookout for some good coldies at least!

3.8C in Trentham now and a Misty rainy 2.2C here at Mt Macedon.
There is a Macedon Ranges weather group on Facebook and they are all excited for snow to 600m. The ABC weather person last night had it at 1000m.

6.0c here at the moment and 0.9mm last night. The total for the thread is 10.3mm so far. Just a few spots of rain this morning that hasn't registered in the gauge. Hoping that maybe with the colder air coming in later that we might at least get a bit of sleet. Looks promising for Mt Macedon for a bit of snow, maybe more so late afternoon/evening?

Ballarat has dipped to 2.8C with the latest band so must be sleet at least in the higher parts there. Thinking Gordon must be seeing something icy at least :?:

Spotty rain up here and 5C. Showers are appearing in the bounce area in the lee of the central ranges but all round feeble efforts so far.

Nice day :)

@HB, I think we will get sleet but be just out of reach for snow flurries. Anywhere above 700m facing NW is a real chance later with that cold trough IMO.

Here is my 2 cents worth on the 10am sat pic.

Gone dark & gloomy here, first spots of rain hitting the ground. Kinda hoping the majority of this hits now & clears a little for the footy later. Don't particularly won't to spend a second game in a row in the wet.

Baro now dropped to 1001 hPa here. I see PWS's showing 1.1c in Gordon 2.8c in Ballan along with the 3c in Ballarat. Starting to get cold south of the range around at 500 to 600m :)

Raining here and 7.4c, with temp slowly dropping. Well out of reach for sleet, but who knows this evening... maybe. Jasmine that looks very promising for later on.

Just got back from the top of mount macedon. There was snow falling up there. It wasn't settling on the ground, but lovely to see it snowing.

Nice to hear Snowfall and Macedonian. Not surprising, as I heard Trentham was snowing an hour ago at 700m. EC was the only model that picked up snow this low. Tonight will be lower I would think with the trough.
