Not in my wildest dreams did I expect 35mm (so far) with this event. Bonkers.

I'm in the unusual position of watching the rainband inching east, and actually hoping it does; thereby clearing our area soon. Haven't had thoughts like that since last spring!
Think we've had enough now and the latest GFS saying 50mm more is a bit of a worry... Time to share with the easterners

Liking the look of this very much!! Very happy that west central is getting their fair share for once
Wrap around band is edging closer to me in inner Melbourne - still unsure whether I will be too far east of the heaviest rain... Access and GFS still have the heaviest totals from now until the early hours just west of Melbourne.
Go the bombersss!

Quite amazing system. Winds swly on one side of the convergence zone and easterly on the other. Whole band moving east, which was really expected by the models which are much slower.
Still hardly any wind here

We've just gone under the main rainband after skirting it for the last few few hours. Absolutely bucketing down now.

Of course, that gap means that the band will break while passing this neck of the woods then reform over gippy who will end up copping it. Ugh

All good - the gap is just the temp of the cloud....The Tasman has mother nature's water pump working overtime into that zone.

Hard to imagine all this is happening out west. East and South East bone dry and absolutely zero wind to speak of. Hopefully the wrap around gets us in the south east overnight
