Solid rain here now. 3mm here now and climbing. Very heavy patch just west of us. Wishing it 5km west ;)

The rainband to the southwest is standing up as GFS predicted so should be a rapid part two (or three after the band). Hoping its shares around... in the north the second band should stall for most of tomorrow so plenty more rain to come.

Just gone into thick fog with a temperature of 20C.

Rain, finally.

But that's all, just rain. The sparks seem to have passed us by so far.

Torrential here now. Band isn't wide but it's quite slow and sliding. Gutters are all over flowing :D

That radar out west looks beastly, heading straight for the city, lets see how good the shield is today.

6mm on auto rain gauge. Just went to check manual gauge in ebtween this break and it says 16!!!!. Checked auto gauge and damned dead spider had clogged the hole after last weeks pest spray.

Up and running now for round 2!

Very happy with 16mm so far.

Btw Maroondah dam was releasing quite a bit of water today, probably in expectation of heavy rain.

Just got a quick fire 15mm or so ..... bloody spider web in the weather station gauge, that i was clearing as it was hosing down. I really should check it after a dry spell. Nylex is showing around 15mm, so that will do for now :D

This baby is yet to peak....the moisture feed is still growing. If conditions are right, it will be like a waterfall if you get under one of these multicell clusters. Should thicken up through central areas from now until 3am. Could be some big totals coming up....

Every rainband has collapsed on our doorstep today. Weird. Just vaporises on radar.

16mm here from part B (shame we missed the first part A ;) ). Next band incoming looks wild.

Just been out cleaning out the garden gutters which were all blocked from the epic December storm.

That's what it's like here now - 30mm and climbing. Torrential rain & local flooding; making up for our misses over the last month or two!

Temperature drop here in Ringwood with heavy showers passing through before. Still humid and the front is about to pass through with more rain behind it. Impressed with this system and I'm happy it will deliver. When I started this topic last week, I wasn't overly confident, but now it looks good...
