Steady rain at home in FC. Just passed 1mm... so close to doubling the YTD total

Bit of a bounce set up in central areas in the lee of the ranges so could go on for a while (or not). Main event back in SA, which should pass over us in a weakened form this arvo.

Quite wet in the city and humid now.

Steady very light rain here as well, anything is better than nothing so it is welcome, at least it will avoid the need to water the garden for the day and put some water in the tank.

2.1mm's up to 9am here MTD now 2.4mm's. Pity the main Laverton radar is down.
Seems to be clearing a bit ATM but radar shows more to the west.
Hoping we get 10mm's out of this all up but not that hopeful.

Judging by the radar, it's only drizzle, but it's giving Tasmania a decent drop.

The rain has turned more moderate, which is a pleasant surprise. And there isn't a breath of wind.

Just ticked over 7mm for the day, which is great. That will top off my tanks, give the plants a drink and reduce the fire risk for a week. :D

Finally got heavy rain at home in FC. 8mm so far and adding up nicely. Should go past 10mm soon and gotta be a chance for 20mm :D

Extreme airmass this one. Mount Gambier broke the precipitable water record this morning with a 54mm (old record is 52mm from last December). Adelaide probably broke it's record but the balloon sent up failed (three balloons went up - two either side recorded near record values in the 57mm range - would guess the inbetween balloon would have measured something near 62mm but we will never know - the old record is 60mm).

Good falls out west and in SA, and scorching heat in NSW - lots of 44-47C including in the Sydney basin :o

21mm at FC now. Very happy with that... and still a bit more to come. Puts the drying out on hold for another week or two and fills the tanks.

Strong topographic enhancement with just ~11mm down the road in Scoresby.

Pretty wet here this afternoon. About 8mm today which makes it 20mm in the past week. Good news is we don't have to water garden for a couple of days.

Nice little rain band....7mm here but unfortunately 20mm short of what was needed before Tuesday's Total fire ban. South Australia's Moomba airport giving the NSW towns a run for their money for the hottest spot in OZ. I think Bourke was leading at 46.6c until the AWS had a melt down at 4.30 :)

25mm here. Stoked. Got the combination of the bounce effect and having the highest gauge in Melbourne :D

Should get a little more tomorrow in a cooler and damp southwesterly flow.

GFS and EC both showing another significant tropical system later next week. Hot Tuesday, but not overly windy. Be another round of 45C numbers north of the river :?
