Tank got a good top up and garden a good watering. :D

Pretty much same numbers here. 1 or 2mm less. Will check manual gauge later

In Strahan at the moment. Had a few hours of solid rain here which cleared mid afternoon to blustery sunshine and the odd squally shower.
Off into the wilds of Cradle Mtn soon after a wonderful trip up the Gordon River into the wilderness rainforest yesterday.
It's nice not to have the heat and humidity down here, :D

Just checked the manual gauge. Just 18mm....

Then checked the AWS - had a big fat spider sitting on top of the bucket with an elaborate web. Not sure whether it was his body or his web that tricked the gauge into tipping more.

Oh well, just shy of 20mm (which is a good result anyway). Thinking another mm or two likely tomorrow so should get the 20mm I had hoped for. We've had about 100mm since Christmas so been a productive period (though not as good at Mt Hotham which has had about 300mm :o ). Grass is nice and green.

15mm here all up. AWS also has a spider in it meaning it only recorded 10mm.

14.5mm here and up to 19mm nearby. Looking with interest at next Thursday/Friday now.

Incredible totals at Mt Hotham hillybilly. Alps are getting a dump of rain about once a week atm. Not too often you see Dartmouth gaining water in January, as it has been lately.

Despite talk of a 38 degree day on Tuesday, i can't see it being more than 31 or 32, up to about 34.

Not confident in 38 at all. Just doesn't seem right. My weather station says 31.

And just saw the forecast 10 minutes after my post above.

Good to see no extreme heat.

I expect further downgrades as we get closer to Tuesday temperature-wise.

Certainly is an interesting one....all depends on the timing of the little trough and cloud cover. Fine line between high 20s and high 30s. GFS latest run after the BoM forecast was released is high 30s for here, 36 for Melbourne, standard 40s in the Mallee.
