Bit of a local wrap from the Dandenongs. Would guess Geoff got 60mm (he can have a long shower now
).
For those wondering.
84mm in Upper Ferntree Gully (and a 76mm).
72mm in Ferny Creek at Dunns Hill.
71mm down in Upwey.
64mm at Ferny Creek reserve.
52mm at Mount Dandenong
30mm at Monbulk.
Monthly average is 75 to 100mm depending on which part of the hills, so about a months worth in 30 minutes. Our MTD is ~135mm now so a good late save.
At one point we had 20mm in 5 minutes and 31mm in 11 minutes. I suspect that first value is very close to a Melbourne metro record...
BTW lots of minor damage locally. Numerous flooded cars, garages and drive ways moved into other peoples gardens. We've lost about a metre^3 of crushed rock. No chance for photos here really as we just had black then grey then fog.
Two photos I took. First is the initial cells take from Tooradin, second is peak storm in our back yard (I emptied the rain tank with that hose in the morning anticipating it would be full by night).
