will melbourne get anything out of this?, the lightning seems to be dying before getting this far south.

Or will it build up in the early hours and resemble whats up north?

What hope have we ever got of getting the right terminology out there if places like the CFA keep using phrases like mini tornado.

3mm so far here from half an hour of steady rain. (No wind at all yet, which I'm enjoying!)

Next 48 hours looks like building to our first significant rain event(s) for a couple of weeks.

Hmm seems to be moving through quite quickly. Most of the lightning has contracted back into NSW so I doubt we
will see any lightning in Melbourne.
In fact looks like only a few mm's for me maybe a bit more in the Northern burbs,

Well that was a dud. 2mm here - didn't even wake me up and its dry this morning

Month is tracking low now... should be on about 50mm at this point, and sat around 10mm. Hope tomorrow helps us catch up some.

Did it rain last night??? I didn't hear anything, and it's calm, sunny and dry out there this morning.
BOM forecast says "high chance (70%) of showers and chance of a thunderstorm this morning and early afternoon with gusty winds". :? :? :?

9mm here overnight, bang on what OCF was forecasting and might get another 10mm over the coming days which will make it a handy fall, anything to keep that grass greener for longer the better. :D
