There must be some pretty impressive hail coming out of these cells, we've been right on the edge of a couple and still got a white covering on the ground in no time.

14mm in the bucket last night after yesterday's rain. More to come through showers today.

After this I'd be happy for the tap to be turned off for a while. The ground in the backyard is saturated & it's really starting to have a negative impact on my lemon tree. Think I may have so kind of drainage problem there though.

Heading up the road to Gisborne later this morning, so will be interesting to see what the conditions are like over there.

Remnds me of spring pre colour tv days. Lots of little heavy showers passing through, no further signs of hail.
