I have have had numerous things appear then dissapear on my front lawn in todays winds, the latest now being, a work of art, yes someones canvas painting!
Gosh, hardly more than a strong breeze here, got a little gusty around lunchtime but nothing much. Don't know whether it's still coming this way or it's been, front still out west by the looks.
LMAO!
Would be a good time right now to catch the train up to my parents place at Kilmore with the bike and ride back with that wind behind me. I would set tour de france style record times!
I was thinking similar, my better half and I went to Glen Waverley for lunch, said to her we could miss getting the bus back as I wouldn't even need to push the wheelchair and we would likely outrun the bus.
Returned home to find large branch of the plum tree had snapped off, it had withstood 50 years of wind prior to today.
Just back from lunch at forest edge in Gembrook, saw on car get flattened by a tree on the way back, all got out ok though. Got home and a big branch had flattened half the chook house too. Will be glad to see the rain arrive and the wind die down.
Still got power, Seville area is all out and long waits before it is back.
The people at the property I was at a couple of hours ago in Olinda are now on their way to hospital. Huge gum tree has crushed their house and car, lucky I got away when I did!
Lots of damage in FC. At least two houses badly damaged by large trees. Every road off the mountain here is closed due to trees down. Never seen anything like it.

It has been happening since befoe any of us can remember. Just part of life Im afraid.
The wind has just kicked up as I type.
EDIT bands of blue on radar crossing bay are not even drizzle. More wind blown virga.
Nothing exceptional here, just a regular gusty October afternoon ahead of a cold front with the odd decent squall. No damage whatsoever around here as far as I know, not even any branches down here.
Didn't even get close to 20 degrees here today, and wasn't even that gusty. Today was basically the same as Friday here. Overcast and warmish and quite humid with periods of sunshine during the afternoon.
I just got home from doing around the bay in a day it was a very trying day on the bike wind was crazy out around frankston got home to bendigo and the trees are hardly moving.
A variation in rainfall from north to south in the metro area. I've got about 5mm so far but places further north are still on zero (Scoresby) and Feeny Creek is on 0.4mm
