Another thumping shower here with the change. Added 7mm more so 20mm for today. Complete surprise... Was thinking 2mm, maybe 5 if we got lucky. MTD 110mm now.
EDIT> Band back building. 22mm here now and coming down in buckets.
Missed most of the heavy showers here today, but getting a ripper now, really dumping down.
Not sure it's back building, seems to have completely stalled over us, still pouring down.
Another 7.5mm here Sunday, takes it to 25mm, not bad for a few days.
Only a couple of light showers last night
We need to get some spring warmth to help bring systems our way.
Moderate frost this morning, very icy on the cars, and visible on the ground.
Cheers Chris
Edit!! Lookout, are you ready for a re-run? Access g has a low over us next Wednesday,
but with the rain going to the north again

Yes I saw that Hawker, just the same as they were forecasting for this week, so we'll take it with a large pinch of salt at this stage!
18.5mm here, almost all of that from the evening deluge.
Cloudless skies today but no frost (Southeasterly wind). 25mm all up since Friday morning which is pretty good.
Funny how different this week is turning out compared to what the forecasts were late last week. From a Major inland Low with a deluge and a barrage of cold fronts to a middling trough in NSW followed by a High pressure cell...
EC is still sticking with 15mm for this coming Monday for us.
In the outer Melbourne suburb of Campbells creek,
it was very white and frosty.
Bom has 3.5c for Castlemaine, which would
be right for where the gauge is, up on a higher slope. But not here
Chris
Far too windy here for a frost this morning. Only got down to 3c, but the air was so dry that no dew formed.
Might have a better chance of a frost in the coming mornings as the breeze turns more SWly and calms down.
Incidentally, some convergence in the forecast models for a tropical in-feed and 20mm+ next week for us. Nice to see things ticking over. The farmers are calling this a "Goldilocks" winter - not too cold and frosty, not too warm, not too dry, not too wet.
Abc weather man said Mount Dandenong was going to drop to -1 last night.
Bit optimistic. 3C at out place with a light frost. We haven't dropped below zero in a frost situation since I've being live up here (since 2001). We have occasionally dipped subzero during snow events - the best being around noon in August 2008.
Waiting now for tomorrow's front. Thinking locally 5-10mm.
The low meanwhile drops highly unusual late winter rainfall through Qld.
I was filling up with petrol at a service station today and it had one of those TV monitors playing above the pump. I was interested to see they had a weather forecast on display which stated sunny, sunny, sunny for the next 3 days. I wonder where they got that from? I wonder how many people are now going to rubbish the BOM when it all goes wrong, starting tomorrow?
(Just started raining here but nothing showing on the radar).

Tonight they said we are going to have snow down to 800m tomorrow.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
Wintery night up here. Sat around 4C with a series of heavy hail and rain showers. 6.4mm all up. Wasn't really expecting anything til the "front" today.
Radar just looks showery.
Event total is up to 31mm here which isn't a bad effort for something which looked like flopping completely. Admitedly we got lucky with the storms.
