Anyone taking photos? I would, but who wants to see our green lawn?

Just been on the phone to my brother up at Wandong. He seems to think there is an outside chance of him getting something up there overnight. Personally I think he is delusional if he thinks he has any hope of getting a single flake. But at 300asl you never know. :)

Nothing spectacular Geoff but something to go on with!

Anything falling now is snow - just need enough for a decent cover on the ground rather than just furniture etc.

Is it easier than what it used to be to post pics from a mobile?

Watching this next big blob with interest. Wishing we were 10km further south, looks like the southern end of the Dandenongs will cop the best of this.
Still 3.1c here, but could well drop off with this precipitation coming in.

Quite a good cover now. About 1-2cm.
I think its mostly our normal mountain drizzle falling as tiny flakes but its building up quite well.
Minus 0.7C now

Oh boy would this be snow if we were 400m up. Coming down fairly hard with very gusty wind. Bitter wind chill.

edit: has the coldest air hit yet?

Best estimate from the BOM is for between 4am and 7am tomorrow Sean. Who knows, we may still be in luck.
Everything is missing us so far tonight by a fraction to our south. :(

Hit here about half hour ago. Gusty winds and temps down to 3.6 with a wind chill of -6 according to the Kestrel. Had to brave the cold and rain to get that reading.

No hail. More to come looking at the radar

Just started to snow here. Temperature down to 1C. Light flakes blowing in the wind. No accumulation yet, but definitely cold enough to settle. Radar looks surprisingly good :D

Heavy snow here with that last band. About a cm on the cars and roof. Bit of slush on the ground. More coming on the radar.

Light cover on the car and roof, and a tiny bit still sat on the grass. Cold, hovering around 1C, just missed the showers since 4am. Airs really dry... The pavement etc is dry :? Kinda as expected with precip the limiting factor.

Waiting for the next round of showers which should be here in 30 to 60 minutes from now.

Coldest air is certainly over us now, down to 1.5c here, but no showers at all. Still a tad too westerly for anything here, but only needs to go slightly more S/W for us to score.

I lucked in :D best snow since 2008, around 3cm by the looks of things. It snowed on and off all night and still is now.
Down to -2C now.
A very happy Macedonian. Much better event than what i had thought it would be.
Ill post pics on FB when it gets light enough.
If anyone wants to see them search Chris Williams, Mt Macedon.
I dont know how to link :(
