Very surprised to hear a few rumbles this morning wasn't expecting that at all. Main activity has missed me with no rain to speak of, however radar seems to indicate more activity later so hopefully might add to my MTD of 12.7mm's.
A couple of hours of regular thunder here as storms skirted just to our south from about 4 am. Thick fog & drizzle with a strong south-easterly so no lightning to be seen.
No direct hits from that lot just a bit of rain on the fringes so we'll see what the next lot coming down from the NW brings. Off to work so it'll be phone radar watching for me from now on.
Well... We wore the brunt of that rainband for sure! 28mm at home lighting was insane and I could swear it was in my backyard next front could drop another 15mm here
A huge thunder and lightning storm here last night. Very loud very close and extremely heavy rain.
We have had 32mm since 3am and it is still raining since then.
I'm so happy to have this rain, it was still green here compared to other areas nearby and this will see us through to the new year hopefully. It was way to early in the season to be brown and dry.

Just looking at the sat loop and the cloud sheet is expanding rapidly to our N/E and rotating over Central areas, I reckon it could well rain all day here - not good for the wife's party guests this afternoon!
Real mountain-top torrential drizzle and mist.
36mm and still counting. 15 mm earlier in the week. It been a log time since we had that much in a week.
11C currently.

AS ILS mentioned last night EC predicted this, only model that had "heavy rain" (which means storms usually) in the early hours for Melbourne. Models have really struggled with this system. Most of the rain was meant to be north of us today but we have rain wrapping to the south of us currently. Its a mess but EC even though has come in late on some things has handled it the best, as they say better late than never.
