More storms developing for Eastern Melb now James, just getting some thunder from the cell developing near Viewbank, still got the trough through Melb so time for more action.

More close lightning in Box hill, very black base, still more development to he north, north west, strong storms heading for Yan Yean, may hit eastern burbs later, big drops here now.

Dashed up to SkyHigh Mt. Dandenong just as the storm front was crossing the eastern suburbs. Thunder was booming almost continuously but didn't manage to capture any lightning. Saw some interesting lowerings from the base of the clouds...

Marble sized hail hit us when the front arrived here and is still all over the lawn half an hour later.
Next round just reaching us now at 5.25pm.

Finally have something to talk about here :D, Had some flash flooding at Bayswater, the factory i work in is on a slope, little hill, and yes it still flooded there, water got into the front door of the factory, there was more flooding on Jersey Rd and Barry St, with the heavy rain came large hail, the hail was the size of 5 cent coins, that was a pretty wild short storm.

Hello my lovelies, coming out of retirement to let you know we've just been smashed in Lysterfield by hail. Started off relatively small and mild but within minutes built to 1.5 - 2.5 cm hail Lying thick on the ground, roads are covered and peak hour traffic edging along the roads. All the neighbours are out, I think they like me were starting to become a little bit concerned. At the tail end of the downpour the hail was getting larger and larger and smashing off the windows. For the first time in some years I was starting to get more than a little worried.

Earlier today had to drive up the hill (Wheelers) to collect my son, whiteout conditions, so bad that the normally up for anything teenager was telling me to pull over.

Just checked the radar, was a brief black core directly over us!

Yes Mick :P

We live (approximately) just under the e in Scoresby on the 64km radar.

Going extraordinarily dark overhead again, distant rumbling. This is starting to feel a bit like Dec 2003 now, with the constant waves of storms :o

Just got back from ringwood costco where a massive hailstorm hit earlier, it was so bad the shopping centre nearby was closed, roofs had caved in and water flooding the shops

there was so much hail in places it was knee deep and looked as if it had snowed heavily, cars were skidding on the marbles

about 1km outside ringwood on the way back home to boronia, no hail at all, it was only in a small area at ringwood itself!! amazing!

I've not seen so much hail before!

weird thing is just prior to it and the whole time it happened, we were just on the edge of blue sky
