Vic: Cold front & trough April 29-30 2014

Post by BERVY »

Gee it's quiet in here ...

Anyhoo, any thoughts on the forecast rain event statewide next Tuesday? Looks promising for a decent drop, until we get the usual downgrade that is. Mind you the forecast has been pretty steady over the last few days so surely something is in store?

Cheers.

Yeah looks nice. EC have up to an inch on Tuesday for some central areas which is promising. Possible cold outbreak next weekend to keep an eye on as well. This time of year can be very productive if things fall into place.

Blowing a hooley up here, but mild, temp is currently 16.2c. Not expecting any rain until the cold front comes through later tomorrow, but that seems to set the seal on a really disturbed period coming up - can't wait! :D
(Edit: 17.2c an hour later).

Yeah it is looking really good east of Melbourne tomorrow and also over the weekend period. Looks wet and cold - early winter!

I have not been here for a while because I got SDS bad this time and I didnt want to give it to any of you.

I cracked this evening, a few spots of rain, warm wind, dark sky, tried so hard but nothing.

I go back to sleep now, nothing here, just boring weather month after month.

Max gust to 53klm/hr here on the hill so far(this morning) - expecting that to be matched or beaten in the next few days! Hoping for rain too. (for those that dont know where I am - up the hill above/north of Wallan. Very exposed with awesome views. On southern slopes of the divide)

Had similar thoughts myself last night. It was actually warmer outside. Didn't open mine as my other half had just cleaned the house and someone would of been dead if I did. ;)

Got a full morning's gardening in here without getting wet - bonus! Just a few light spits and spots, but setting in heavy now and I'm indoors having lunch! :D
