Light rain just starting in the CBD now.

Was surprised to see we've already had 5.1mm at home considering almost nothing here at work.

Some sparkies showing up to the NW of Melbourne on the radar/lightning tracker :D

FAR OUT :o that storm that just smashed Macedon was insane, loud thunder and rain falling at a rate i have not seen in a LONG time, I have never seen the garden at work go under so quickly, nothing but gushing torrents of muddy water. I got home a bout 5mins ago and we had missed the lot up here. It has just started to rain heavily here now. Cant check the radar caus my computer is having a moment :?

Gee not much is showing on the clickable map, not even for Gisborne. I would say we had about 20 or 25mm in about 10mins, i will check the gauge at work tomorrow. If you are in the firing line from what is drifting down from Macedon/Riddells Creek watch out :o

Must be belting down at home as we've got a quick-fire 6.8mm in the last 20 mins or so.

Will find out when I get there, it's peak hour soon so something's bound to go wrong :)

Very heavy rain and flash flooding along Burwood Hwy and Mountain Hwy on the way home and very poor visibility - peak hour traffic is going to be a nightmare! :o

got some good shots from the train near Wallan of the building convergence light at 1420. Sent them into the BoM. It looked like a massive building wave!! Waiting for the rain to hit here - moving from the west.
24mm for this event so far.

Bendigo Airport just copped a 17mm+ deluge in less than 15 minutes, along with 70 km/h gusts! Now that's what I call tropical...
