Those two jets were the B1s!

Nice pics twisted!

Sunday was much better than Saturday. I like the colour of this one. I got a pic of its canopy glinting in the sun. Of course I had heard of that from WW2 movies but never seen it. Now I understand why that was such a dead giveaway. Compare this to the Raptors sexy hitech glass. Also loved that spooky paint on the raptor. Did anyone else notice it?

Prop blur! yippeee! Mit panning and background blur, albeit slow. I even got afterburner glow this year.

Uh Bugger we had cloud cover then. Was out the back looking, too much cloud.
I didnt end up going on Sunday due to my dad getting sick on Saturday. Friday was still good tho. Seems like Saturday was a bit messy but good to hear Sunday was better.

Quick Question Mick, How do you reckon the Airshow will go at Avalon in the future, i know we have it till 2015 but i think we have a option to have it till like 2030 or something like that?

No doubt every other state wants it. Williamtown is made for it, Richmond, Edinborough etc all better than Avalon re the sun and flight lines. But Avalon has all that room for static displays, and Lindsay Fox. You have to have a regional airport large enough at the end of the day. In the end its all politics, so who knows. I wouldnt mind seeing it go to NSW or somewhere that has cheap flights. Fresh eyes, new input etc, all good.

Great shots. Anyone happen to either capture or know of the type of helicopter buzzing over the city this afternoon?

Thanks PalmTrees.

BTW did you hear or see the choppers that passed over Berwick/Beacy on Saturday. They were very low and loud. I was trying to describe them to my brother (ex Army) in the UK. I have no clues :?

lol Mick, you given me some ideas with that pic now.

Here's some good video of the B-1B on take off from Friday (not from me) If you have never been close to a B-1 on take off then the only way I can explain it is like a small earthquake and probably one of the loudest things you will ever hear. To give you a idea how powerful it is, it would take almost 3 1/2 classic F/A-18 Hornets to produce the same amount of power.

Thought i would bump. Details are slowly coming out about this! Always a great event for me anyways! My favourite aerobatic pilot, Skip Stewart is coming to Avalon. Been wanting to see him live for a long time now! He will make your heart go numerous times!
