Only a tennis forum for the Aussie open so hope you don't mind me starting this up. Sam stosur is playing tonight on channel 9 after the footy show. She has been in great form, great game last night. By the way she's a saints supporter!!!

Sam has been playing so well. Watched her win again and will be watching again Saturday night. I reckon she'll win. Can't wait for the French Open to finish tho so I can get some sleep!

i too found the $4.80 irresistable, though i got greedy and took it in a two leg multi with west coast 1-39.
there's been some wacky odds appearing on sportsbet of late. QLD @ $1.55 to win origin 1 at opening time, out to $2.10 with 15 mins to go. gobbled that up good and proper!

Amazing scoreline in the Isner/Mahut game. Currently 59-59 in the first set!!!
They played all day yesterday, the fifth set has gone 7hrs.
Hewitt advanced in 2 1/2 sets.

I missed the Aussie tennis season this year for the first time in my life but I was in South America and Antarctica so that was a good consolation

Pat Rafter took over as the Captain of the Davis Cup this year. Tony Roach will assist Pat as the coach.
For the fourth year in a row, Australia will start its 2011 Davis Cup campaign in the Asia/Oceania playoffs. After receiving a first round bye, Australia will play the winner of Chinese Taipei and China in the second round. Australia's glory days of Davis Cup are a distant memory atm but hopefully Pat and Tony can get us back into the world group to start with.
