PM's not going through

Post by Lily » Mon May 10, 2010 9:33 am

I know this has been a bit of a problem in the past, but I'm having trouble sending pm's. I've resent a number of times, deleted, then resent and I've had one sit there for four days and still no luck!

Anyone have any ideas?

Is nobody else having this problem? I've sent, resent, created an entirely new pm, left it sitting there for days... nothing's working!

Hey Lily.
I have the same problem. Sent a PM to AV 10 minutes ago and still sitting in the outbox.
Grrrr!!!

Edit: Went thru after 12mins.

12 minutes? Mine's still sitting there from this morning, I'd deleted the other one that had been there since Sunday!

I often find that my PM's sit in the outbox until the recipient opens the message, and then it goes into the sent box.

Hm.. sorry for late reply and sorry if this isn't helpful but this is the best i came up with -
Have you checked if the usergroups have full permission of sending PM's around the forum and to other certain usergroups? There might sometimes be an option that only allows PMs sent from a certain usergroup after having admin approval.

I was away for the first two weeks of May and haven't caught up with everything yet. Thanks for your input Dez. I checked everything out tonight and users have general permissions so that should be OK for mail. I have upped the messages to 100 and have upped some other things so hopefully this may help

Yes I think that's what it is. Thanks Jake. I really can't see what else to do. Must be an irregularity with this type of forum
