So it's still a Thursday? What a crap night for a premiere!

Will have to decide if I can be bothered doing a trip down and back on a work night, would end up being a late one, but it is Friday the next day. Would love to meet Sean too.

I have been talking to IMAX in Melbourne and we have a couple of choices....

Option A
Thursday night includes meeting Sean, a Q & A session after the movie and a drink, popcorn, choc icecream etc as it is the 'Corporate Night" - cost for this is $45.....

Option B
Friday night is the movie only and if the group is large enough (40ish - which we already have), the tickets are ~$15 for adults and ~$12 for children (to be confirmed to the cent)... I'm trying to find out if Sean is in Melbourne on the Friday night and if he would like to join us for dinner after the movie...

Clyve and I are leaning towards the Friday night and joining with AMOS who have a group together and are going that night instead of the Thursday...

thoughts everyone?

Friday...seems like a no brainer if we get Sean to come along. Cheaper and a better night.

What time would the evening start? Cause I'd be pushing it to make it down by 7 or something.

TORNADO ALLEY - now Thursday night, 22nd September for the Australian premiere - a very special deal!!

After some solid negotiations I'm delighted to let you know that we have managed to capture a very special deal for Thursday 22nd September - the premiere night of "Tornado Alley" in Australia.....

for those who don't wish to have a drink and a candy bar combo, but would like to attend the Australian premiere and meet Sean Casey...we have secured 12 more very special tickets at a very special price extra to the ones we got for everyone who has already RSVP'd from the earlier announcement

Our special ASWA 'weather nuts' rate on that night is $20.00 and includes the following from 7:00pm

- Personal introduction to Tornado Alley 3D by Sean Casey
- A Q&A session with Sean Casey at the conclusion of the movie

however, if you like to experience the extra 45minutes meeting, greeting and chatting....

The standard rate on that night is $45.00 and includes the following from 6:15pm

as well as the movie...

- Drink on arrival (beer, wine, sparkling)
- Personal introduction to Tornado Alley 3D by Sean Casey
- Candy Bar Combo (Regular drink, popcorn and choc top), and
- A Q&A session with Sean Casey at the conclusion of the movie

Venue:

IMAX Melbourne Museum
Rathdowne Street
Carlton Gardens

Could you please let me know ASAP how many tickets you would like to confirm for either deal to ausstorm@gmail.com

A) the very special ASWA deal of $20 (7pm - conclusion)

or

B) the standard premiere rate of $45 (6.15pm- conclusion)

I have to pay for the very special tickets by credit card, so please let me know if you are sure you will be coming.....

PS: you don't have to be an ASWA member.....

PPS: dinner afterwards sounds like a plan!! (Sean might be able to join us there too)

cheers,

Jane

Ah, timing is just too messed up for me. No way I could make it there by 7. So, I'm out.

Will get down on a weekend sometime in October to check the movie out.

Everyone else who gets to meet Sean tho, have fun! Well done on arranging all this too, probably taken a bit of work.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it, will have to catch the train (expensive I might add! - $164.22) or drive down, but I've never driven that far. Will also need somewhere to stay which will cost extra + the cost of the movie = very expensive. Hmmm?? :|

Unfortunately I won't have a hope of getting there in time (work finishes at 5:30 pm, and I am one of 2 staff - so early leave isn't an option) :(
Hope everyone has fun; enjoy.

Robyn & Chris - consider yourselves confirmed!!!

Sorry you can't make it Peter (although you should be able to get top Carlton in 1.5 hours from Broadford?)

Still have a few tickets if anyone wants to jump in....have a look at the movie trailer if you haven't seen it yet for a taste of what you'll see....
