Help with Digitek usb wireless weather station

Post by Cass »

Will start by saying Hi to all
We have just brought a weather station so all is new
The problem we are having is the computer software, which worked fine for a day, but will not receive any information from the display unit. This is hooked via a usb cable. We have re-installed the software, which was the only thing i can think of.
Still not sure if it is a faulty unit, Thanks all Cass

Hey Cass,

Welcome aboard. What make is your weather station?

Will see if we have some nerds around here that can give you a hand, I am probably not nerdy enough ;)

Hopefully it can be recording some figures for you soon

Digitech XC0348 usb wireless weather station
it was no longer talking to the computer
have fixed the problem but not sure for how long
Although we have lost the data (1 day) how we fixed it, was to remove the batteries and start again.
Not the best thing to do if you have a lot of data but for us that was the only way to fix it

Often the best way Cass. (welcome to the forum, btw) I know with many of the wireless weather stations if they go out of sync with the base station a hard reset is necessary to rest the communications.
My last WS was just like that - it was a modest Lacrosse semi-wired system and if the sender unit's batteries died I had to remove all the other batteries and wait an hour before starting again, pain in the butt.
Latest station is much better, is solar powered so no messing reloading batteries etc.

Good luck
Chris
