well that was a crapload of rain! - lots of flooding but i think everything ok..small hail in it

just grateful we didn't get big hail like we did all those years ago

lots of tummy rumbling sounds coming from lilydale direction, looks like it will miss here though, amazing anvil on it before and all the ice crystals blowing off it - its growing fast!

some light but steady rain here and some tame thunder in the distance, now the sun is breaking through and blue sky. great to get the rain but I hope that was not it! - the rain very early this morning was heavy but brief in a very localised area, someone down the road less than 800m away got nothin...

I'd still like to know why the forecasts are so wrong, whats changed that killed it all - it looked good for a moment there but watched the visible satellite at it just vapourising within a few frames. It bothers me that somehow we are relying on computers still where clearly looking out the window ...

I'm copping it now from everyone i warned to tidy up and prepare for heavy rain etc - I'll forward it onto the BOM

But why do they not learn their lesson and change the forecasts and stop saying flash flooding coming when clearly it isn't. The problem is when a disaster is coming nobody will listen, and i think of all the effort i have gone to on multiple occasions to prepare for the almost guaranteed severe wea...

watch the cloud vanish on the last few frames of the visible satellite?? i think that's over now unless the last few hours of heating create anything new, but i think that's the best it is going to get (and dont say "tomorrow was always the day", wed was supposed to be, then it changed to ...

I'd really like to know the explanation why its failing that hard out this way, even with apparently all the right ingredients otherwise?

looked thudery towards the city moments ago but now mostly passing, no thunder or anything heard, no rain...

looks like a western district event again unless it somehow moves more east? we seem to be in the middle between things yet again?

Lets see what happens but i am not holing ANY hope in the forecasts, they have been consistently incorrect (for this area anyway) I've never seen them so wrong in all the years (many decades) of following the weather. I'm not sure what the reasons are, perhaps its the reliance on modelling? I think ...

Why is it so barren over this way between the storm and the cloud to the east? I understood conditions were good for it today but it just didn't happen so curious to know why, did the storm in the west zap the energy?

Well I gave up and had to flood the garden with the hose as everything was leaning over as I didn't bother watering last night due to the forecast of flash flooding in and around the metro area and suburbs

yeah thunderstorms from 4am going right through the night...whatever, that's what was being promoted this time yesterday for this area...can you believe it?
