Re: Vic: Fronts and troughs 9 - 16 July

Just got back from a snow chase up to Mt Donna Buang. Snowing heavily up there, blizzard like. Snowing down to the turn off road to the summit. I was in a 4x4 so I was able to get to the top car park - but they closed the last bit of road to the summit. Put the 4X4 in snow mode and it did not slip ...

Re: Low pressure sequence. 24–31 May

2.5c as I left East Warby this morning, 3.5c in Warby now, not sure whether snow or just fog, but looks like there may be a dusting on the tree tops about 400m up the mountain

Re: Low pressure sequence. 24–31 May

Long time since last post, different location now too, said 4c on the dashboard is the car, in East Warburton, surely snow isn't far from here, should be getting most of the hills and peaks across the valley. I'm only 230m asl.

Why not just move to Tasmania? It's a wonderful place. I don't live there, but it would be a nice place to live. :-D

Another beefy shower about to hit east burbs
Sorry haha, it's hail, but its a nice cover, there has been icy showers on and off throughout the night and this morning, but no snow I know of, I don't know whether if there were any light snow flurries while I was sleeping

Just a kilometre away and hail was about quarter the size of that here, the last rain with the sunshine was heavier, there was a few branches snapping too.

NSW did pretty well for low level snow though, 34c in Sydney one day, snow flurries in the Blue Mountains the next. Jindabyne have had a good number of snow days in the past few weeks. :D

Re: Low Pressure System: 3rd September -

Just came down from Donna Buang, plenty of snow cover up top above 1100m, but was drizzling, and then got a bit heavier, so we can say the snow level has well and truly risen, it was good fun toboganning though. Snow cover softening and melting at Donna, should last a few more days if no heavy rain ...
