Re: Burst of winter 23rd - 27th May

Light rain here for most of the day, there was a brief bout of moderate to heavy rain that lasted about 3 minutes. Other than that not particularly ferocious -at least not like the radar colours showing.

Re: Burst of winter 23rd - 27th May

Morning guys.

Woke to light rain this morning here in the SE, waiting for it to pick up.

Going to be sick in bed all day today -feel like crap... At least the rain will make my day a lot more enjoyable.

Re: Burst of winter 23rd - 27th May

Yeah it's getting pretty windy here in Templestowe. Been trying to rake the leaves as it's garden bin tonight and the wind just keeps blowing it all over the place! I gave up... We have two massive liquid ambers either side of our property, their leaves can stay there and rot over the winter as far...

Re: Burst of winter 23rd - 27th May

Well Autumn has been well and truly blown away here, hardly a leaf left on any trees now. I hope we are sparde the worst of the wind and we dont really need much in the way of rain either thanks. Warm and sunny out there now, 16C I'll take it! Can never have too much rain (well, not flooding rain a...

Re: Extended wet spell May 1st - ?

Judging by the radar I'm in the thick of it, but it's not particularly heavy, I wouldn't even call this moderate. But at least it's made my day cooped up inside at the computer more pleasant.

Re: Extended wet spell May 1st - ?

It's resumed raining, though I could measure the space between each drop with a broomstick.

Very nippy out but it doesn't seem to feel cold as such.

You just ruined my day Johnno, I was really looking forward to some rain, not just lame autumnal showers...

Re: Victoria - Trough - Potential heavy rain 15-16 March 201

The radar on the weatherzone seems off to me, right now I'm supposedly under quite heavy rain - dark green with globs of yellow, yet it's very light. Then other times it's been absolutely pouring and the radar showed just patchy light green. Who knows...

So is this the main band or just a precursor?

Re: Victoria - Trough - Potential heavy rain 15-16 March 201

I'm not sure what to expect, the most probable occurrence would be to reach the bay then phenomenally collapse like my grandma on a trampoline.

Haven't had anything this side of the bay since November, would be nice to see a good 20mm out of this.

Looks to be clearing central areas now. Didn't pick up a great deal, less than I thought I would.

Re: High Temperatures, High Humidity and Storms 26 Feb - Mar

I won't mention what it looks like right at the top.

Rain is picking up slightly down this way, not heavy but constant. Very much an autumn chill to the air.

Re: High Temperatures, High Humidity and Storms 26 Feb - Mar

When is this incessant wind going to stop, been going all bloody day. Branches everywhere, near miss for me at one stage on the moorooduc highway.

Looking forward to some rain here, but I'm sure it's the last thing people want up north.

Don't want to speak too soon, but some nice steady rain looks promising for Melbourne. It's really starting to fill-in.

Re: High Temperatures, High Humidity and Storms 26 Feb - Mar

Recived only about 20 or so mm's for this event. The bay seems to be raincloud cryptonite since November.
