Has been spitting for the last 1½ hours but not enough as yet to register, looking at the sky it appears that it will soon stop.

A $20 or $30 tax wouldn't likely even cover the cost of the bureaucracy that would be needed to administer it and what purpose would it achieve? As cyclists we are governed by the same road laws as vehicles so if that is the reason just enforce the laws. Speed cameras now there I wouldn't mind being...

We do and if too many of us put tanks in thus reducing the profit on water usage as has been the case with period of restrictions the usage charge will go up to compensate.

A couple of points from what I have read, know or 'consider' why the government has moved to lower the level of restrictions They have the north - south pipeline up and running though not to the capacity they led us to believe but there is more water coming into Melbourne's storages to flush our loo...
