About to go bang guys and gals BOM snoozing ! Yep, it's coming. No doubt it will arrive just as I'm about to leave work. :afraid: As for the BOM, no idea why they even get mentioned on this forum at times. Nothing surprises me with them. They will no doubt release a warning after it's actually hit....
Great photos windyrob.
Very similar to what I observed last night with plenty of crawlers & thunder, including one massive crack that sent the Kelpie running for the bedroom.
Only 5mm recorded, however I'll take anything at this stage.
A grand total of 2mm here which was barely enough to wash the path. All pretty much worthless with the dreaded return of the disgusting feral windy filth here!
Certainly can't complain about the conditions on the bike, absolutely perfect! Light north easterlies in the morning followed by south easterlies during the late afternoon. Tail wind the whole way. :D Escaping to the island tonight for another weekend of sensational beach weather. Would be nice to g...
Walking the dog seems to be doing the trick for me lately as far as storm activity goes. Twice I've almost been caught out in it, last week walking along the beach down on the island & last night around Burnside Heights when that brief one passed through. Last weeks island experience however was...
Check out the area of black near Bannockburn :o . Steering seems more west-east now. http://flystream.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Screenshot-2022-01-07-15.58.44.png Wouldn't rule out a possible tornado going by the movement on the radar. Probably wrong, but certainly looks very dangerous. :afraid:
11.5mm in the Nylex this morning. A total of 22.5mm for the entire event over the past three days. Not to bad I say considering many around Melbourne with nothing. Fair to say that's roughly what we got back in Burnside Heights. Very happy with that knowing we are not there to water the gardens. Me...

Yet another storm warning from the Vic Emergency app and not a drop here in mt Evelyn. Watering the garden now.
As I keep saying, all eggs in one basket, even when it comes to the storm warnings.
Looks like we picked up a few mm back at our other place from that cell passing through Laverton as I typed. Pretty marginal for our chances here on the island. Looks like drips & drabs once again.
Yep as usual the forecast and models were incorrect!! - big fail as if it doesn't rain, I will actually have to water tonight! Sorry to everyone whom i told it was going to storm and rain here today...i should have known better! Surprise surprise, yet another pathetic effort from the "all eggs...
How does it go from basically zero rain for almost a month to a deluge? I’m tipping 10mm for the event for Melbourne CBD and huge dud. Lock in the feral humidity though! Come on Skywalker - back me up bro! lol. I'll try Daz. ;) I never hold any confidence for the Western boredom zone, however I'm d...
It's been absolutely beautiful conditions down here on the island. Should remain quite pleasant compared to the horrific conditions expected back in the western desert during the next few days. :firey: Have to do a quick drive back tomorrow night as my wife has to work on Friday, then it's back down...
