Wow that is pretty impressive hillybilly, no white here on the ground at 230m asl East Warby. I don't get up early enough to see the full story though. At least there is still a bit of snow to look at on the surrounding mountains, but that's pretty much every decent 800m-900m event, considering most...

It snowed in Sunbury today. :o Yep. see what i mean haha. Although it definitely can't be ruled out that in that wave this morning there was some small flakes mixed in. Some of the drops in amongst the graupel were "suspicious" ;) Still a notable event. My hourly temps for the day are qui...

3.5c just now in Warburton, and had what I believe was a sleet shower, maybe someone knows, it was little white stuff like hail, but it wasnt landing like normal hail, it was splatting on the windscreen like snow, the white stuff separating apart as it landed on the window. Looked like slush on the ...

Yep a bit annoyed here too And here obviously, but that's to be expected where I am. Until I convince my other half to sell & move from this pathetic western suburban dump I'm confined to a life of meteorological boredom & frustration. :x Lol move to Liawanee or Miena, Tasmania, then you ca...

Decent snow shower in Wallan too, my cousin told me. A lot of facebook videos popping up. How come we had similar conditions at 10:30am, yet it didn't snow in parts of Melbourne? I understand elevation probably has a lot to do, but temps were definitely okay for it (2 degrees at Laverton, Geelong, ...

What's all the fuss? Clear sunny skies, light breeze and 6 degC here.
Friday looks more interesting here. We might actually get a little bit of rain then.
And later next week looks intriguing. Could be a drought breaker...
Now that's the stuff that tops up water tanks.

Well an hour makes quite a difference, when I got up at 7am it looked like there was a dusting of snow on the tree tops just above the redwoods, went back to bed, got up 8:15am and the only visible snow now is a little bit at the top of the mount. 2c at East Warby when I left home 10-15mins ago, 3c ...

Down to 3C here with a stream of drizzly showers tracking south-east... Looks like the showers with the very cold air are just coming up on the south-west coast - Mortlake 2.9C! (130m asl) Sounds like there is hope that it could snow here in East Warby. :D BOM's Meteye nearly has the whole of Tasma...

Just drizzle overnight and a very light smattering of snow on Mt Wellington this am in Hobart. Sun has fully broken through now and it's fine as can be. Although breeze has picked up a little. Guess I'll wait and see what really happens. I heard on the ABC earlier that snow is expected down to 100m...

But I think we could all do with a bit of snow on our properties at the moment.
On another note it is pretty unfortunate that East Warburton is included in the Melbourne lockdown area. But it will be interesting to see how low the snowline gets on in those mountains.

Progs probably tweaked a bit better overnight. Tuesday morning will be the coldest with 850T dropping to around -6C at its lowest. That is close to the Melbourne record, though the records are based on radiosonde which typically fly once or twice a day, so quite probably we’ve had lower values in t...
