Lightning came down our phone line on Monday and zapped everything attached to it. Lucky I wasn't on the phone. The crack when it hit the junction box outside my computer room was deafening. It fried our modem, Foxtel boxes and my computer. Finally we are back online.

One close clap of thunder here as the heaviest rain arrived around 1.30am.

Yes I heard that one Geoff and there were a couple more after that. When that large rain band came over about 1.30am like you said the wind just howled up here
