Re: Becoming cold, wet and windy with a series of fronts: November 6-11

Not good at all up north, plenty of CFA and SES heading up north to assist for Tuesday :? Meanwhile I was borderline hypothermic riding down Lake Mountain yesterday morning, 1C and light rain at the top with a decent 5-10cm of wet snow still up top, snow patches down to almost the ticket box. Some c...

Down at Inverloch for the long weekend. 32C yesterday on the car thermometer, hot but not unpleasant.

Very windy in the middle of the night - rain started up about an hour ago with big fat drops on and off and settling in nicely.

Just had a good long roll of thunder.

Two rumbles of thunder and 1mm of rain :|

Even the wind wasn't that strong, no callouts for any trees down in our area overnight/this morning.

Heavy drizzle and 6C this morning north of Hurstbridge made for a damp bike ride. Dried up (and warmed up) on the way back after Hurstbridge!

Was a bit surprised to find frost on the car at 6am this morning in Pambula Beach, as we're about 2m above sea level!

Turned into a nice sunny 17C day after some rain yesterday afternoon with some small cells moving through from the ranges to the WSW out to the ocean.

Up to about 25C and some quick thunderstorm showers on the way through Gippsland today to the NSW South Coast - one between Stratford/Bairnsdale and a few light showers around Buchan. Was very windy on arrival in Pambula Beach earlier but the wind has settled down to be replaced by some light rain f...

Light rain here at home from about 3.30am. Was bucketing down on the way to Lorne early this morning until about Lara then dried up. Stayed dry down on the Surf Coast for a while then rained all through the Otways during the big ride. Sun popped out just before Apollo Bay for a stunning ride along t...

Odd day in the CBD. Cloudy cold and windy in the morning, sunny mild and breezy by lunchtime, steady rain after lunch.

Not quite four seasons in one day but not far off.

Dropped to 986.9 hPa overnight here. 2.6mm rain yesterday and overnight, wind maybe dropped off a bit here in the last 1/2 hour, nothing out of the ordinary.

Windy as expected down the Peninsula and in the Dandenongs with plenty of reports of trees down.

Getting a few flakes below 700m is like baking a soufflé in this state :) Haha :) Lowest I think I've seen snow (personally) in Vic is Hepburn Springs which is around 470m ASL according to the map. There's a hill on the right-hand side on the Melba Hwy around Castella heading out to Yea that I've s...

Hosing down here with that rain band.

Looks like a fair few trees down in the Kyabram / Tatura / Murchison / Euroa area from that band of rain/storms that is tracking NW-SE.

Rode up to Mt Donna Buang from Don Valley today - some rain showers on the drive out to the valley but then mostly cloudy/foggy through Panton Gap with the odd patch of sun breaking through to warm us up. Snow patches from around 1100m with enough up on the summit at 1250m for the toboggans. Back at...

A couple of mm just before 9am here, otherwise that rainshadow is playing out as per the ACCESS C charts :x Already waiting for the next event.

At least the NW and N of the state will get some well-needed rain.

Tonight could get interesting.
