Re: Victoria: Trough and Unsettled. April 17th-22nd 2010

WoW - that was some action which included one of the largest cracks I have ever heard. The place lite up like a welding torch and shook like the earth tremor had hit. She only just finished moments ago. The back end brought about torrential rain for 10 or so minutes. Weather Station recorded a rainf...

Re: PC Virus Protection

I am not a big fan of any products at the moment. AVG is my preferred tool for family and friends, however, has bloated in recent times and consumes more system resources than ever. I did managed to find the following 3 part review titled " Free Antivirus Shootout: AVG vs AntiVir vs Avast !&quo...

Ranking

Hi all,

I just noticed my ranking changed to Cumulus

So the question is, what are the achievable levels and criteria for each. :D

Apologies if this has been discussed or covered previously.

Re: Building a computer

Hi Jake, It really comes down to cost/budget. You can buy a solid Dell workstation with a good warrenty, preinstalled software and reliability but it will come at a cost, or you can do it totally yourself for about half the price at MSY http://www.msy.com.au or similiar hardware reseller. RAM - If y...

Re: Water Storages

I doubt very much we will see a hardening back to 3a this year, especially given its an election year. Don't be surprised if we see further relaxtion of restrictions to Stage 2 in the middle of the election campain. "Victorian water restrictions have turned the corner" said Mr Brumb...

Yes Dane a nice drop in the last hour or so. The numbers in this area are quite low in comparison to the 100+ falls being spoken about. 47mm now for the system. I am now confident we will make make 50mm come sunrise, which I am most happy with. :D

What a diverse group we have here. My turn. Hi, I am Damian or Damo to my close friends and colleagues. I do not think I have met anyone on this forum; however, feel as though I have many "virtual" friends sharing a common interest. I am in my late 30's (gee that's sounding old), with 3 am...

Lily, really feel for you and the family. Its going to be a tough period. As has been mentioned listen to the insurance companies, find what you can on the web e.g those that went thru similiar situations as yourselves and most importantly before you do anything photograph and video everything. Oh a...
