Some big claps of thunder in the early hours this morning. 2mm so far today and currently raining. As others have noted, the temp is dropping quite a bit - currently 11.0c here.

23.1 here today after a low overnight of 9.2. Starting to feel more autumnal with the temp dropping steadily in the evening. Currently 15.3.

Had a low of 7.9 here last night. Up to 16.3 today. No further rain here, but the clouds are thickening up. Might be a bit of drizzle overnight or tomorrow morning. Looks like a very warm period coming up later next week, certainly warm for April.

Just checked - 111.3 mm so far here this year. January was especially dry with only 18.7 mm.

We finished up with 4.4mm for this event, and a monthly total of 43.9mm. That is slightly above average, which is quite amazing given how grim the rainfall outlook was looking earlier in the month. Haven't calculated the average maximum temp for the month but it was certainly much warmer than usual.

Had 4mm here. Currently 9.3 and the heating is on. Really nice to have some cooler weather finally.

Temperature also plummeted not long ago here. We reached 25.3 today, and it's currently 11.6. Looks like a few showers on its way, will probably be here in the next 20-30 mins. The system is moving quite quickly.

It's very close to a Category 5. Reports of 270 km/h winds, so right in the upper range of a category 4.

Wow. And Bowen Airport is now recording gusts over 100 km/h.

Looking closer, I think Hayman might be just outside the eye, but must be fierce weather there now.

It is certainly moving slowly. Those winds on Hamilton Island have really picked up in the last hour. I notice Hayman Island has entered the eye.

Just checked the monthly total. Up to 39.4mm so far, which is actually not bad given how bleak the month was looking for a while there.

A decent change today. Just 2.6mm here, but certainly welcome nonetheless. Very windy this morning, and warm. Got to 29.5 ahead of the change. Currently 13.2. Really enjoying the cooler, brisker weather right now. Hopefully a couple more millimetres in Wednesday night and Thursday.

28.2 here today. We had a little drizzle overnight - just 0.1mm. Must say I am really looking forward to a change in season. Hopefully the cooler spell later this week will mark the start of a proper Autumn.

Had one shower in the end but only registered 0.6 mm. Certainly warmer than expected. Got to 30 today.

We are just missing out on the showers too. Plenty of black clouds around, but just too far south.
