I think I can wait at least 48 hours before hanging myself in my closet over the BOM changing their forecast a little.

In about two hours time Melbourne will get the show of the century. That is, if you really enjoy seeing the cirrus that was once part of an anvil.

Going by recent history, probably not. I doubt they're even severe, the BOM issues STWs for pretty much any storm that pops up on the radar these days.
