Re: Vic - Prolonged cold outbreak - July 4 to July 11

9mm since 9am making it 56mm since Monday, could make the monthly average by the time the whole sequence has finished with us later next week. A brisk 4.5c degrees at the moment, but cloud and showers should prevent it going much lower overnight. No snow last night, just a bit of hail in a couple of...

Re: Vic - Prolonged cold outbreak - July 4 to July 11

Morning all,
Save your petrol, no snow up here this morning, 2.2c and heavy showers with perhaps a hint of sleetyness in there. Will be pretty snowy on Donna Buang by now I reckon.

Many thanks Robyn, Karl and Lily, As requested, just one photo of part of our garden as a taster for you. Spring 2008 (62) (Small).JPG Lily, I'm sure it would be fine for you to visit sometime, and for our 9 year olds to have some "pony time" together  (he says without consulting...

Re: Vic - Prolonged cold outbreak - July 4 to July 11

Not too cold in Olinda either, 7.2c at the mo, less windy so that is helping, still some big gusts though. First showers breaking out from the west, and looks like intensifying with the cold front closing in fast, hopefully boot this milder air into touch! Still hopeful of seeing some flakes either ...

Re: June Rainfall Map

Thanks for the welcome Chris & Lily! I should add that my Feb. total is a conservative estimate, as my 140mm manual raingauge was overflowing on the morning of the 6th (the Cyclone Yasi event), so the total should probably be higher! Yes it certainly has been incredibly wet up here on the hill, ...
