3.8c overnight here. No frost of course but it's still good to be closer to normal. Just a smidgeon of rain here yesterday, which wasn't quite enough to register in the gauge. It's turning into a dry month, and very El Nino-like, although we're not quite in an El Nino yet. Wow, it was -2° with a hu...

Wow absolutely feral morning. I took this pic this morning of Mt Macedon with the huge cap cloud hovering. It doesn't look like it but I could barely stay upright against the howling north wind. Big difference between here at work 6° and home which has just dropped to 0.9° up there in that cloud mas...

Yes it's boring as hell. 18 in Melbourne yesterday and an even 10°max at my place. To think when I first started recording at Mt Macedon twenty years ago I could get the entire winter and longer without going over 10° now I get at least one or two higher than 10 days in each winter month.

Still struggling to get above 10c here. Max today was 9.8c. It has been a month of two halves - very mild in the first two weeks and then much cooler in the last two. But windy pretty much all the way through! We’ll finish up on 97mm for the month. So close to the ton but not quite. A big high is s...

Woohoo! I'm managed to get back in on my old phone on WiFi. The new one needs its cookies and cache dealt with but it's not clear to me how to do it. Me and tech- chalk and cheese! What a cold day for Central Vic. It was the same temp in Shepparton as it was at my work in Macedon. 6°! crazy! Even wo...

55mm for the 24hours to 9am at my house. Just under 80mm since Sunday arvo. By comparison there was only 21mm where I work five km from home at Macedon. Rain shadowed again. The enire 24hours of Wednesday remained above 10° at my place. I don't think I've ever seen that happen in any winter month in...

Certainly is cold. My May median maximum temp so far is 8.4°.
Twelve days of the month so far have failed to reach 10° and the warmest day so far was 13.3°.
Feels like winter already.

Freezing day for me, 0.7° min and 3.6° max.
Both yesterday and today came in under the forecast max.
A 3.6° max would not be out of place in July but its pretty impressive for early May.
