Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Nice pics B!

Yeah there are a few thundery showers starting again ahead of another trough! It is so crazy this weather. I cannot keep up.

Perhaps 5mm or so locally.

Re: The Weight Loss Journey!!

Yeah it has been tough this week! I am really struggling, I guess with the flying and the travel and non stop leading into this weekends huge run! I wonder if I can do it!? Should be a good experience anyway! I did a few less reps today just to conserve energy and will pick them up next week as I al...

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Quite a lot of convection out there at the moment, think we might do OK through the C Districts this afternoon. Keep watching.

10mm in as many minutes out at Bairnsdale with gale force winds. Lots of rain in the east today.

Another 10km walk last night which was good. I was rather lethargic but still went on it.

Off to the gym tonight!

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

I hope I am wrong too but it does seem like the weather will be mild to warm with weak dry fronts tempering southern VIC and slowly heating up over the NW.

Focus of the showers and storms moves east today.

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Quite a thundery morning but minimal rainfall with these at this time, should see locally 2-5mm with it as it pushes down this morning. Should be interesting to see how it pans out but not expecting much more than 5mm this afternoon at best. Not much rainfall coming in the next 2 weeks by the looks....

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Hey B, Should see a few showers and storms and perhpas 10mm this afternoon. Melbourne sits on the edge and think it will remain dry. Had 11mm yesterday from the downpours and thundery outbursts. Nice to fly home too that is for sure after a very busy weekend up north chasing the storms. Was some goo...

Re: The Weight Loss Journey!!

So did another 10km run in Darwin on Monday and ended up doing another 10km walk last night after the storms cleared through here in Melbourne. Who says you cannot exercise and travel!!! Eating was fairly good on the weekend given it was holidays. Lots of drinks though in the heat! But it was great ...

Re: The Weight Loss Journey!!

Ran 8km yesterday in oppressive weather! Need to certainly take the drink bottle with you in these conditions! Foul! Get out there today guys in the awesome weather! Also take advantage of walking in your local reserves and tracks in the rain as they are usually quieter and more tranquil! Going back...

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Keep an eye on SA today with middle level storms sparking up. Could see showers and isolated thunderstorms already in western areas tomorrow AM and could be a good show tomorrow evening in C areas. Looking positively cold down there at 27C I see!! LOL. Here in Noonamah in the NT it is sitting on 39/...

Re: Wet Season 2012/2013 - Northern Territory

Very hot and humid conditions out here presently. Waiting for the first showers to go up and they are not far away, sitting here in Palmerston having a look at a few cells trying down towards Noonamah. Presently 35/22. So a little warmer than Melbourne! Should see heavy action inland over the weeken...

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Significant rainfall is on the way for NSW and Victoria this week with a stalling pressure trough. I will not water down the prospects. 100mm looks a good forecast for the S NSW and E VIC areas with Melbourne having between 50-100mm. Loads of moisture, lots of thunderstorms. Going to be a good coupl...

Re: The Weight Loss Journey!!

Great job! Aim for 2km in the next week or so!

Did a 6km run this morning in the highest heat I have ever experienced. Was really hard work. Few weights and then a nice breakfast with tropical fruits!! :)

Now watching the clouds rise and fall

I have to drink up here, it is the only thing that is keeping me sane! I am heading out for a run tomorrow morning and then to the gym at Nightcliff, training for next Sundays City to Surf!! Should hopefully be cooler after the heavy rainfall forecast next week. Keep smashing it out Shell! Nathan ho...

She is a whopping tart!! Really nasty catty tramp! I think she just tries to win camera time!! Abby Lee is frightening. She is a wall of attitude and personality and I find it astounding that she is able to coach dancing so well through not showing them how to dance at all. Very talented lady I give...

Re: Wet Season 2012/2013 - Northern Territory

Very hot and humid for my arrival into the lovely NT. Some very strong turbulence around the jet streams over the mainland and that is a very good sign for when moisture attaches as widespread convection, rainfall and heavy falls are likely to train over the area that it sets up. Pictures of my adve...

Re: Increasing heat, humidity and storms - Nov 3 - 7

Well a very long day here - speaking you all from the lovely suburb of Jingili in Darwin's north tonight where I find myself dealing with a westerly wind, this time it is not with a wind chill of 6C! It is with a wind chill of 31C!! Very bizarre and surreal day. Anyhow finished with about 20mm at ho...

Pane, next week the falls look heavier for you over into S NSW and E NSW. Should see local falls on current prognostics of 200mm accummulated.

Coming down heavily presently.

Watching the next burst of rain behind this immediate band off to the SW. Could have a storm on it.

Re: Hot ahead of a thundery change - October 31st - November

Absolutely threw it down here with 80kmh wind for about 15 minutes and that has blown any sign of summer away again. 5.6mm of rain from it so far but has backed off now to a steady rain which should go a lot of the morning. May see another 15-25mm on top of that out here. Cooling back this afternoon...
