Re: Low / Trough 15 - 16 Nov

Don't hold your breath Strato. The monsoon has been unreliable in recent years. Very iffy what will happen.

Re: Trough and front: 10-12 November

19 mm here with just a little luck could have doubled it.
But still a nice fall, doesn't look to be much in the next 10 days though that could change.

Re: Trough and front: 10-12 November

Strato said "It's been a dry start to November here. Perhaps 15mm mid-week and I can't really see anything much beyond that." Looks about it access not so keen here, maybe 10 or 20 under a storm, drying out fast, here hay cutters are busy. Not much of a LaNina year but it did probably give...

Re: Warm to hot followed by a strong cold front: Nov 2-5

Incidentally, La Nina has really got cranking in the Pacific Ocean. Some crazy cold sea surface temps emerging in the Central Pacific Ocean. It's going to be a bonkers summer I suspect. The atmosphere hasn't responded much yet, but when it does it could get very interesting... That's the big questi...

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

Gauge is saying 17. 5 here, pretty sure it was empty will check with others.
Access G has a big low for Monday week, should be a better rain producer for the west of the
state as it is starting back over WA, not that it is needed.
And assuming it stays in the progs.

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

Hasn't happened yet, heaviest rain is meant to be overnight,
the low is up at Pt Augusta depends where it goes, but it doesn't
really look like the whole system is getting its act together.

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

EC is not interested for much here, up to 5 today up to 10 tomorrow.
Pushing it more into NSW
Edit, access g looks a bit better but still iffy, cross your fingers territory.

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

BOM is saying 9 to 25 for Fri/Sat for me, looking at the models probably seems to be fair.
A bit of a variation or storm could see double that, but looks like
the more north or east, the more rain.

Re: Another low tracking south over Vic/Tas 16-19 Oct

Currently looking at around a possible 15-25mm this coming weekend. We had some stream rises in local rivers last week. i.e. Lake Eppalock has gone from 42 to just under 46%. There is a swamp between Maldon and Laanecoorie (Bell's Swamp) which I often use as an indicator of whether we have had a we...

Got lucky under a heavy shower for a while ended up with 18 mm so far.
Strange shower heavy, but light drops, or maybe I'm just getting deafer!
Edit I see 56 at Warrnambool well outside the warning area, the way it goes.

Main cloud band and low appear to be splitting, but rain is meant to fill back in over night
but more to the south, still hoping 20 to 30
