re Jan - when did Melbourne last go through the whole of December and January and not hit 35 degrees??!

Melbourne CBD has had 4 days with over 10mm of rain this Jan, plus an 8.2mm also.

I assume this is not a record for Jan but seems highly unusual.

We have also had four 30 degree days already and that’s up only 17 Jan!

The last 18 days of December in Melbourne will not record a 30 degree day.

When did that last happen??

There appears to be rotation to the West of Melbourne that should start to spin the rain into the metro area around 6pm.

All the media is obsessed about just Easter Sunday temps, but what is the coldest average maximum for the four days of Easter Fri-Mon for Melbourne?

That’s the stat that is really significant now for this event as a comparison.

Melbourne Olympic Park has officially recorded 4 consecutive minima under 5 degrees!

That must be highly unusual in the past decade.

Coldstream has a diurnal range of 20.3 degrees today (-3.7 min 16.6 max)

This must be close to a record for winter surely?
