Some cells moving through metro areas, but fast moving Yep. just got a brief downpour in Elwood. Huge drops too. Co...

Re: Victoria - Warm then more rain - 13th-23rd Jan 2020

Short but sweet. Big hail, some close booms, 5mm or so of rain then the bay destroyed it quick smart About the same here. But the hail was quite incredible for a few minutes. Got a little footage but doesn't show how it really looked. The stones hurt when they got you! https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Northern edge clipped Elwood but delivered dangerous hail, near golf ball sized. Lasted for 5 mins or so. Not seen hail of that size before!

Mansfield was late to the party but just passing 15mm now with moderate rain still falling. No storm action but hoping the line to the NW makes it here a bit later. Happy to see everyone getting something decent almost state-wide

No snow in Mansfield but plenty on the surrounding hills of the divide this morning as Steveco mentioned. 35mm for the event for us. Should provide some of the best run off into Lake Eildon so far this year, currently 41% with a wet catchment now. Thanks for all the deep analysis, obs and photos fro...

The updated SWW for Vic forecasts blizzards with some heavy snow accumulations in Alpine areas overnight. Large parts of Gippsland above 1000 m would be favoured with this frontal set up. Will be interested in Mt Baw Baw's snow report in the morning.

Alpine snow for next two days looks plentiful and powdery!
This cold outbreak reminds me of the late May 2000 event though snowfall was low and widespread then. This is the Sat for that event.

Will be driving Eildon to Jamieson tomorrow afternoon so reasonable chance snow on the high road I'd think!

Caught the city downpour at Vic market. Elizabeth St was awash with heavy flash flooding. More like 15-20 mm there around 1pm than the 8mm so far at Olympic Pk.

Anyone seen the photos of the Cape Paterson hailstorm? The culprit mentioned earlier by HB.

Hi All,

Finally some rain to measure tonight at Mansfield. 5mm so far with tons CGs and some of the best crawlers in recent years, all last at least 2 hours.

The talcum powder that is the surface around here has finally been settled.
