Re: Christmas Week Weather

Wow wansn't expecting it to be very windy today! I was, had been checking the shear setup several days out and it has gotta be one of the best I've ever seen here but the big problem was we had no instability to support it. This is F4 - F5 tornado material right here http://forecasts.bsch.com.au/tm...

Pretty much a non event here as far as storms go, nothing but some decent wind gusts from the change and some of the crappiest structure I've seen lol

Re: Cold Pool and associated instability Sunday 18/11/12

Posted this on FB not long ago Well thats the best local chase of the season so far lol (unexpected given the conditions), had the shelf cloud almost on top of me the whole way and managed to get in front of it to the ENE for 5 minutes at Cardinia. Looked to have some hail in it for a bit while driv...

Haven't posted anything for awhile as this year has been pretty dead as far as storms go and cup day ended up being disappointing in S NSW with the weakening trough, took this shot of the solar eclipse with no filters on at 800mm, 1/8000sec, f81

Anyone see this storm around Bairnsdale - Orbost yesterday? best looking movement I've seen from a storm this season in Vic going ENE and the core held together for a fair while. http://www.theweatherchaser.com/radar-loop/IDR683-bairnsdale/2012-11-07-21/2012-11-08-04" onclick="window.open(...

Here's one out front of my place on Xmas eve of that awesome developing nuke updraft a few mins before I jumped in the car, I hate it to b...
